After having obtained her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Biology and Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Ms. Wilkinson worked at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center as a licensed Registered Professional Nurse, including clinical and administrative positions.
During that time, she realized that her education and experience could be of service through the legal representation of those in the health care field. She graduated from St. John's School of Law. After admission to the Bar of the State of New York, she practiced in the areas of Medical Malpractice Litigation, Health Care Law, Hospital Law, Hospital/Physician Insurance and Hospital Risk Management. She continues her licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Currently, she is passing on her knowledge and varied experience to undergraduates as part of the History, Political Science and Philosophy Department at City University of New York, Kingsborough College campus, teaching Constitutional Law, Criminal Justice and American Government.
She continues to consider her life as a work in progress.
